66% Cabernet Sauvignon; 22% Merlot; 7% Petit Verdot. This somewhat sturdy and well-stuffed youngster starts out with complex aromas of cassis, stone and graphite and for a moment hints that it might be plush on the palate. It nonetheless turns out to be a bit little bit backward and a touch on the tough side, but it shows plenty of depth and promises good things with six to eight years of age.

Bright red-ruby. High-pitched aromas of blueberry, cassis, bitter chocolate, pepper, herbs and violet. Enters the mouth suave and smooth, then builds and expands toward the back, offering classic black fruit, licorice, mineral and violet flavors and saturating the palate with fine, dusty tannins. The floral finish offers lovely lift and sneaky persistence.
